The National’s “Ugly Burger” is made beautiful when paired with Napa Cab.  Topped with pickled jalapeño, “NTL. Sauce,” housemade pickles, bibb lettuce and served on a brioche bun, this acidic, buttery and beefy burger is as complex as what’s in the glass, and yummy ’til the last bite (and drop).

 

Rezart Gorencavic – Executive Chef

Chef Rezart Gorencavic is a native of Albania and a graduate of the Culinary Institute of Tirana in Albania, Gorencavic launched his career in 1994 at the Rogner Hotel. In 2000, he moved to New York where he worked at Trattoria Dopo Teatro before working his way through the kitchen at 21 Club, where he spent the last 15 years. Gorencavic joined The National in the spring of 2016 and has brought his affinity for seasonal ingredients and belief in enhancing their natural flavors without masking them with spices and sauces.
